The victory also avenges two regular-season losses to the Huskies on Jan. 13 (73-64 at New London) and Feb. 20 (62-60 at Albany), which were also the only two losses for the Wildcats (21-8) in West Central North Conference action.

NLS, which will play Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in the subsection title game at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's, lit up the scoreboard from the floor in the first half. Four of the first five Wildcat baskets were three-pointers and they finished the period 7 of 9 from behind the arc -- 18 of 25 from the field.

Jay Moten fueled the streak by connecting on 12-of-15 shots, including 3 of 5 from three-point range. He finished with a game-high 31 points.

With a 48-33 halftime lead, the Wildcats were helped when Albany's Zach Noreen fouled out with 7:48 remaining in the game.

Noreen, who scored 39 points in the two games against NLS, tallied 15 for Albany (20-7).

Jayme Moten added 12 points for the Wildcats. Justin Zylstra recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Erik Tengwall had 10 points and five assists.
