No unnecessary travel advised in west central Minn. tonight

WILLMAR – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising no unnecessary travel in the Willmar, Granite Falls, Montevideo, Madison, Olivia and Redwood Falls areas today because of blizzard conditions.

High winds are resulting in blowing snow and reduced visibility.

There are several accidents on state highways in the region that are resulting in temporary road closures but MnDOT says it does not anticipate shutting down highways because of the weather.
