SPICER -- Nora A. Fricke, 95, of Spicer, died Monday at GlenOaks Care Center in New London.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Kandiyohi. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born July 30, 1913, in Green Lake Township, Kandiyohi County, to William and Alma (Peterson) Hallberg. She grew up in Green Lake Township, attended Whittier Elementary School in Kandiyohi and graduated from Willmar High School in 1931. She attended normal teacher's training in Willmar and taught for 13½ years in various schools in Kandiyohi County.
On July 14, 1945, she married Earl Fricke in Kandiyohi. They lived in Kandiyohi Township until 1957 and then moved into Spicer. She was the librarian for Spicer Public Library for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She moved to GlenOaks in January.
She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church where she had been Sunday school superintendent and teacher, ladies aid president and treasurer and Luther League president.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Don (and Darlene) Hallberg of Fort Myers, Fla.; Bill (and Marvis) Hallberg of Kandiyohi; Yvonne (and Werner) Maule of Albertville; Janet Kloster of Atwater; Jerry (and Sandi) Hallberg of Lynden, Wash. and Judy (and Bart) Parker of Lynden, Wash. and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and three brothers.
