Nora L. Motzko Dec. 2, 1935 - April 11, 2009
BENSON -- Nora Lane Motzko, 73, of Benson died Saturday.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church, with a parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m., and will continue for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Donaldsonville, Ga., to Clinton and Ethel (Regan) Mercer. She grew up in Georgia and Florida.
She married Wilfred Motzko on May 26, 1956, in Sebring, Fla. They lived at various Air Force bases during their marriage. She spent her time caring for the house and raising the children. The family moved to Benson in 1970 and she worked for several years at the Benson Diner.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the ladies group there. She also was a member of the Busy Hands Quilters and the mission group.
She is survived by her children: William Motzko of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Patty (and Dean) Bouta of Willmar, Katherine (and Tien) Nguyen of N. Hills, Calif., and Sandra (and Craig) Frahm of St. Cloud; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one brother: Jim (and Joyce) Mercer of Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996 and six siblings.
