Nordic Skiing: Card girls 5th, boys 6th at Central Lakes meet

KIMBALL -- Brainerd won both the boys and girls team titles while the Willmar girls were fifth and boys sixth at the Central Lakes Conference Championships Tuesday at Powder Ridge.

Pacing the Willmar boys were Ryan Haines and his 12th-place finish in the Classic and Nathaniel Erickson's 14th-place finish in the Skate.

The Cardinals girls were led by Erika Aaker's 11th-place finish in the Classic and Samantha Hanson's 12th-place finish in the Skate.

Willmar is off until next Thursday when it travels to Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis for the Section 2 meet.
