Nordic Skiing: LaPatka 14th in Greystone Challenge

COLLEGEVILLE -- Tom LaPatka placed 14th in a large field at the Greystone Challenge Thursday for Willmar.

The race was a continuous 8k pursuit and LaPatka's combined classic and skate time was 31:57, just over five minutes from the champion Sam Anderson of St. Cloud Tech. Daniel Voss (36:23) and Michael Cola (36:32) also finished in the top 30 for Willmar.

Danielle Erickson was the top finisher for the Cardinal girls as she had a combined time of 39:47, good for 23rd place. Megan Ackerman of team champion Buffalo was first at 28:57.

Willmar is at the Alexandria Invite on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.
