Nordic Skiing: Willmar kicks off season

ST. CLOUD -- The Willmar Cardinal Nordic team got started on a man-made trails at Riverside Park on Tuesday at the St. Cloud Invitational.

It was the first time on snow this season for some of the contestants, who were encouraged by the season's first significant snowfall.

Willmar was last in the boys and the girls varsity took eighth of nine teams.

The next meet for Willmar is back at Riverside Park next Tuesday for the St. Cloud Cathedral Invitational.
