Norlin pleads to fleeing charge for high-speed pursuit last summer


WILLMAR — Benjamin Jeffrey Norlin, 26, of Litchfield, pleaded guilty Friday to a felony charge of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle for running from a Kandiyohi County sheriff’s deputy at speeds over 100 mph last July.

As part of a plea agreement reached in Kandiyohi County District Court, misdemeanor charges of fleeing an officer on foot, driving after revocation, reckless driving and speeding will be dismissed. He will be sentenced March 6.
