Northwoods Playoffs: La Crosse sweeps Mankato to win title
The La Crosse Loggers followed up a 12-2 drubbing of Mankato in the opening game of the best-of-three Northwoods League championship series with a 8-1 win Friday to claim their first league title.

La Crosse, the South Division champ, outhit the MoonDogs, the North champ, 24-9 in the two games.
Mankato reached the championship series after ousting the Willmar Stingers two games to one in the North Division championship series.
