LITCHFIELD -- Olga I. Gasch, 92, of Litchfield died Saturday at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Church in Litchfield. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls, Wis.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
She was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Big Lake to Alfred and Ida (Arneson) Jacobson. She was 12 years old when the family moved to Prescott, Wis. Later the family moved again and she graduated from River Falls High School in 1934 and attended the local college for one year. She performed maid and housekeeping work in Chicago and Minneapolis. She went on to beautician school and also worked in the defense plants in Milwaukee during World War II. She was an Avon lady.
She married Carl Gasch in January 1946. She was widowed after 20 years of marriage. She rented out rooms in her home, cared for her father and worked a variety of jobs until age 72.
She is survived by her children: Steve (and Avis) Gasch of Litchfield, and David (and Sharon) Gasch of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
