Olivia man wins ATV at Brainerd Ice Fishing Extravaganza

BRAINERD -- Greg Steffel of Olivia caught a 0.70-pound walleye, which earned him a Suzuki KingQuad 400 ATV at the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Extravaganza on Gull Lake Jan. 23.

Steffel's fish was the 100th-largest fish in the tournament of the 842 that were registered.

Two other area anglers took home prizes. Rick Klavetter of Willmar landed a 1.27-pound northern and his 27th-place finish won a Strikemaster Auger. Richard Foss of Hancock pulled up a 0.78-pound perch a won a Humminbird Ice 55 ice fishing flasher.

The 20th annual event had more than 11,000 anglers and gave way approximately $150,000 in prizes.
