One killed, several injured in crash Monday north of Pennock, Minn.

PENNOCK -- One person died and several others were injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kandiyohi County roads 1 and 27 north of Pennock.

The crash between a sport utility vehicle and a passenger car was reported at 3:18 p.m. Monday, according to Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Sgt. Gary Wyffels.

Three people were in the SUV and two were in the passenger car at the time of the crash, he said. The driver of the SUV died in the crash, and all others were transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Wyffels said the identity of the person killed and other information about the crash would likely be available today.
