Orville A. Kallevig Aug. 6, 1934 - Oct. 18, 2008
NEW LONDON -- Orville Arthur Kallevig, 74, of Pennock died Saturday at his home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Evangelical Covenant Church in New London. Burial will be at Lake Florida Mission Cemetery in rural Spicer.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
He was born Aug. 6, 1934, on the family farm in Green Lake Township to Arthur and Elsina (Mooi) Kallevig. He graduated from Willmar High School. Upon graduation, he attended North Central Bible College.
He married Joann Edman on June 10, 1955, in New London. They farmed in rural Pennock for 53 years. He also worked for the Pennock Creamery.
He attended New London Evangelical Covenant Church and served as usher for several years. He served on the Lake Florida Cemetery Board and was chairman of the Arctander/Lake Andrew Mutual Insurance Board. He also served on the New London Creamery Board and Kandiyohi County FHA Board.
He is survived by his children: Roxane (and Michael) HartKopf of Eden Prairie and Rick (and Marna) Kallevig of Pennock; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1997, and a sister.
