Overnight shed fire claims rabbits, equipment north of Paynesville, Minn.

PAYNESVILLE -- The cause of a fire that burned a shed about five miles north of Paynesville overnight is unknown, according to Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner.

According to Sanner, sheriff's deputies and Paynesville Fire Department were dispatched around 1:45 a.m. this morning to Scott Klehr's residence at 21866 County Road 33. A neighbor had reported the fire and woke up Klehr.

Klehr said there were approximately $60,000 worth of rabbits, $8,000 of horse saddles and harnesses, a $2,500 manure spreader and an unknown amount of tools and equipment in the 96-foot by 50-foot shed. The shed was a complete loss.
