MONTEVIDEO -- Paul Kerry Brendmoen, 54, formerly of Granite Falls and Alexandria, died Friday.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo.

He was born Nov. 12, 1954, in Valley City, N.D., to Raymond L. and Shirley A. (Sandness) Brendmoen. He graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1973. He worked for a while and then attended and graduated from Granite Falls Vo-Tech in 1980 as a machinist.

He moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where he worked as a machinist and tool and die manufacturer. He moved back to Minnesota in 1990 and for the last 20 years lived in Alexandria and worked at Douglas Machine Company in Alexandria. Due to his failing health, he moved to his brother's home in Montevideo.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Shirley (and Willis) Johnson of Willmar; and his brothers: Steven (and Kelly) Brendmoen of Montevideo and Mark Brendmoen of Scottsdale, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
