Paul McCartney to play Fargo on July 12 and Minneapolis on August 2

Paul McCartney will bring his global "Out There" tour  at two sites in the upper Midwest this summer: July 12 at Fargodome in Fargo and August 2 at Target Field in Minneapolis.

The Fargo annoucement brought a couple dozen people out for the announcement, including Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker and Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitor's Bureau director Charley Johnson.

 The Fargo concert was confirmed Monday, despite denials from two Fargodome officials on Friday that the former Beattle was coming to town.

McCartney's Minnesota appearance was announced Monday morning on twinsbaseball.com

Tickets for his Minneapolis show will go on sale at twinsbaseball.com at 10 a.m. CDT April 28.

Tickets for the Fargodome show will also go on sale aat www.inforumtix.com at 10 a.m. CDT April 28 .

The Beatles, with McCartney as a member, played in 1965 at Met Stadium in Bloomington.  He returned to Minneapolis as member of Wings in 1976 and during solo tours in 1993 and 2005.
