RENVILLE -- Pauline Seward, 71, of Renville died Saturday at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Renville with burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Renville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born July 25, 1937, in Brandt Township near Euclid to Paul and Annie (Wimptheimer) Langle. She graduated from Warren High School in 1954. She attended teacher's training and spent several years teaching in one-room schools.
She married George Seward on June 27, 1959, in Euclid. They farmed in the Warren and Euclid area until 1974. She retired from teaching in 1966. They moved to Renville in 1975. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Renville, and was also active in 4-H. In later years, she worked at the Renville Public Library.
She is survived by her husband; children: Shirley (and Chris) Zierke of Wyoming, Sue (and Al) Schneider of Sacred Heart, Bob (and Shawn) Seward of Alexandria and Linda (and Keith) Agre of Sauk Rapids; nine grandchildren; sisters: Martha Ayotte of Bemidji, Darlene (and Frank) Williams of Park Rapids and Marge (and Marv) Cliff of Inver Grove Heights.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
