Paynesville's Keller wins third UMAC championship

MANKATO -- Minnesota Morris women's cross country runner Linda Keller won her third individual Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championship in as many tries on Saturday, leading the Cougars to a second-place finish in Mankato.

Keller, a junior from Paynesville, beat her closest competitor at Minneopa Golf Course by over a minute-and-a-half, finishing in 22:04.7, dropping over 15 seconds off her time from the same course just three weeks ago.

She led the Cougars to a runner-up finish for the third straight year. UMM finished with 67 points behind champion St. Scholastica, which finished with 30.
