SACRED HEART -- Pearl Marie Peterson, 88, of Sacred Heart, died Thursday at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church and for one hour before the service at the church. Dirks-Blem Funeral Home of Olivia is handling arrangements.
She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Cambridge to Victor and Emma (Hammerstrom) Nordstrom. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from high school in 1938.
She married Clement Peterson on Sept. 13, 1938. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm. After her husband died in 1970, she cared for her youngest son, Robert. She moved to the RenVilla Health Care Center in 2003.
She is survived by her sons: Gerald (and Marlys) Peterson, Myron (and Janice) Peterson, Ron (and Carol) Peterson, Gary (and Kris) Peterson, Rodney (and Ruth) Peterson, all of Sacred Heart, and Robert Peterson of Renville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister: Delores Rainey of Daytona Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
