Pioneer Public TV in Appleton, Minn., hires Moore
APPLETON — Pioneer Public Television has hired Patrick Moore to serve as the new communications coordinator for the public television station that broadcasts in more than 45 counties throughout western Minnesota, northwestern Iowa and eastern South Dakota.
Moore lives in Montevideo and is returning to Pioneer where he worked in 1983-84. Most recently Moore was executive director of Clean Up the River Environment and the founder of the Java River Café on Main Street Montevideo.
Moore began his journalism career as editor of the Milan Standard Watson Journal in the early 1980s. He has a bachelor’s degree in history and Latin American studies from the University of Minnesota, Morris.
Moore will focus on building community relations throughout the broadcast area and promoting Pioneer’s local programs. The station has served the region as a PBS affiliate since 1966.
