Post play propels Lady Warriors

BRAINERD -- The Ridgewater women's basketball team got the job done in the paint, leading to a 67-55 win over Rainy River in the first round of the Central Lakes College Invitational Friday.

The Lady Warriors will face Central Lakes at 4 p.m. today.

Ridgewater made only 1-of-13 three-point shots, so the ball ended up in the hands of post players Brittney Glisczinski and Chelsea Voorhees, who responded with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Tara Thielke added 12 points and nine assists. Danielle Goeman pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
