BIRD ISLAND -- BOLD collected two walkoff wins Saturday to advance in the Section 3AA baseball tournament.

The Warriors (14-7) beat Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove 5-4 in 11 innings on Zach Remillard's infield single, then topped Redwood Valley 3-2 on Tate Neubauer's one-out single in the seventh.


BOLD will face New Ulm at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Marshall.

BOLD 3, Redwood Valley 2

After Redwood Valley tied the game at 2 in the top of the seventh, BOLD took advantage of two walks and a single to load the bases for Neubauer, who came through with a hit to center field.

The Warriors were held to one hit through the first four innings, but started the fifth with three straight singles and scored two runs.

Neubauer and Shawn Dollerschell, who was the winning pitcher, had two hits each. Dollerschell allowed six hits, struck out two and walked two.

Kyle Athmann led off the 11th inning with a single for the Warriors, stole second and went to third on a wild pitch. Tyler Hebrink walked and stole second, putting runners at second and third base.

Remillard's line drive caromed off the second baseman's foot for a single and scored the winning run.

Dollerschell tripled in the tying run in the ninth.

Shane Schoenberg pitched 10-plus innings for RRC/WWG, getting the loss.

Kyle Krause threw five innings of relief for the win, allowing a run on five hits. He struck out three.

Montevideo 10, LQPV 7

The Eagles (11-10) scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game. Zach Moen doubled and Sam Haas singled. Moen scored on a wild pitch, then Chase Keimig's sacrifice fly scored another run. Jacob Redepenning hit a solo home run for the third run.

The Thunder Hawks responded in the bottom of the inning on a Christian Brabender RBI single and a two-run double from Brett Bergeson.

Mitch Christensen and Troy Hendrickson had two hits each to lead Montevideo.

Redepenning went 4-for-4, including two doubles, to pace LQPV.

Montevideo tied the game in the fourth on Brabender's solo home run, but Marshall regained the lead with a two-run homer from Andrew Larson.

The Tigers tacked on five runs in the fifth.

Christensen, Hendrickson and Ryan Tostenson had two hits each for the Thunder Hawks, who end the season with a 12-10 record. Tostenson drove in three runs.
