Prep Baseball: Chanhassen ends Willmar baseball season

MINNETONKA -- The Willmar Cardinals season ended Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to the Chanhassen Storm in the opening round of the Section 2AAA baseball playoffs.

The game matched the No. 10 seed (Willmar) and the No. 7 seed.

Senior Drake Kilber limited Willmar to 5 hits and fanned 9. Josh Pehrson's triple supplied the lone Cardinal run.

Chanhassen finished with 7 hits. Starter Dean Stier took the loss. Josh Warne relieved in the fourth and Patrick Courtney finished up.
