Update: Charges filed against man in death of 5-year-old Watkins girl

Prep baseball: Litch beats D-C in 9 innings

COKATO — Litchfield wore out Dassel-Cokato, scoring three runs in the ninth inning to down the Chargers 5-3 in a Wright County Conference game Wednesday.

Tied 2-2, the Dragons used three walks, three wild pitches and Ryan Wahl’s run-scoring single to move ahead on the top of the ninth, and Dylan Koll finished off the Chargers and his complete game in the bottom of the inning.

Koll gave up just one earned run on four hits, he walked one and struck out nine on 105 pitches.

Wahl and Eddie Estrada both had doubles among their two hits and Zach Kinny doubled in a run. Mike Spreiter tripled and scored a run.

The Dragons improved to 2-0 in the conference and they are 2-1 overall. They play at Delano at 5 p.m. Friday, then take on Hutchinson at 3 p.m. Saturday in Litchfield.
