Prep Baseball: Montevideo avenges earlier loss to YME

MONTEVIDEO -- Montevideo won a squeaker in the rain on Friday, tipping Yellow Medicine East 7-6 in a West Central South baseball game.

The Thunder Hawks' Jerad Schmitt scored an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth to break a 6-6 tie.

Christian Brabender tossed the first five innings for Montevideo (3-8, 4-10). Colton Vien took over to start the sixth and threw two innings, allowing two hits, but no runs to earn his first varsity win.
