Prep baseball roundup: Cardinals knock off Sartell

SARTELL — Adam Nibaur tossed six strong innings and Willmar picked up its second win 7-2 over Sartell in a Central Lakes Conference game on Thursday.

Nibaur didn’t walk a batter while fanning three and surrendering one earned run.

“Adam threw a super game … he kept his pitch count low and trusted our defense,” Willmar head coach Mark Stier said.

The Cardinal bats came alive, too, with a 10-hit attack led by a 3-for-4 night by Josh Tinklenberg.
