WILLMAR -- The Willmar Cardinals dropped both games to Alexandria on Monday, the first ending after 12 innings.

The Cardinals play at Fergus Falls today.

Game One

Alexandria 6, Willmar 2

All five Alex runs in the top of the 12th inning off Josh Warne were unearned.

The Cardinals committed two errors that allowed the go-ahead run to reach third. Alex took the lead on a sacrifice fly, then tacked on four more runs with two outs.

The Cardinals had no luck against Alexandria ace A.J. Anderson, who allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out 11.

Tyler Stegeman and Austin Rambow collected Willmar's only hits.

The Thunder Hawks tuned up for today's big West Central South Conference game against Morris/Chokio-Alberta with a convincing non-conference road win on Monday.

T-Hawks pitcher Steve Rohloff one-hit Pipestone and he struck out three working a complete game.

Austin Hoehne had three hits in three trips, including two doubles, and he drove in four runs.

Teammate Colton Vien was 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI and he scored twice, and Tanner Lindemann also had a double among his two hits and he also scored two runs.

Montevideo is 12-6 overall and takes a 10-1 WCS record into today's home game against against the Tigers with the conference championship on the line.

Conference co-leader BOLD, also 10-1, plays at Yellow Medicine East today.

Zach Kinny tossed six more shutout innings and Ed Estrada went 3-for-4 to help Litchfield move back to .500 at 9-9.

Kinny, who also scored on a throwing error in the first and drew a bases-loaded walk in the second, struck out nine and gave up just three singles while walking three in the game's first six innings to win his second straight start. Dan Oster worked the seventh and induced a 6-4-3 double play to preserve the shutout.

Estrada singled in a run in the second and later led off the sixth with a double and scored on Austin Jones' sacrifice fly. Dylan Koll earlier led off the fifth with a double and scored on Mitch Wollin's groundout. Jones also drew a bases-loaded walk in the second while Wollin and Mike Spreiter each finished with two hits.

ACGC 6, MACCRAY 4

The Falcons scored twice in the top of the ninth and held on to defeat MACCRAY on Monday in Raymond.

ACGC reliever Trever Heining got the win, working the final 2-2/3 innings and striking out three.

The Falcons' David Kinsler had two hits and drove in a run, and Dylan Hoerchler had an RBI in the seventh.

The Wolverines' Jacob Aviles had a hit and drove in two runs.
