The Jaguars’ 70-50 victory clinched a fifth-straight Central Minnesota Conference title.

BBE improved to 13-0 and holds a two-game lead with the conference finale tonight against Kimball at home.

“We played a lot better offensively in second half,” said Jaguars head coach Dave Montbriand. “We played the same good defense and picked up the intensity.”

BBE’s Brian Goodwin, who sat for stretches in the first half with foul trouble, scored 21 of his game-high 28 points in the second half.

The Jaguars’ Billy Borgerding went for 13 of his 21 points after halftime.

Alex Wosmek finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds and Borgerding and James Kuefler also had 8 boards. Goodwin led the Jaguars with 6 assists.

The Jaguars now have 52 straight home wins — the state record is 60 — and they have won 88 of their last 90 games overall.
