Prep Boys Tennis: Willmar wins 2 matches at home quad

WILLMAR -- Willmar went 2-1 at its home quadrangular on Saturday.

Mitch Johannes and Austin Hilding supplied the winning point as the Cardinals slipped by New London-Spicer 4-3.

The Cardinals also beat Monticello 6-1 and lost to Hutchinson 5-2.

For Willmar, Issac Yoakum went 3-0 at 4-singles, and Austin Linbo and Jarod Swoboda paired up at 2-doubles to mark their varsity debuts.

New London-Spicer edged Monticello 4-3 and fell 6-1 to Hutchinson.
