Wheaton drove 90 yards in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter to score on a six-yard run with :42 left, than ran for the conversion and its first lead of the game.

The Owls' Casey Gramm ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns and made 18 tackles on defense. Wide receiver Nate Holleman caught five passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns from qauarterback Darren Schaefer.

Dan Franta hauled in a 15-yard scoring pass from Cody Becker with under a minute remaining in the game, lifting Blue Earth.

Redwood Valley had just take a 21-18 lead when Aaron Marks caught a 10-yard pass from Kole Prodoehl.

Blue Earth returned the ensuing kickoff to its own 45 and then put together a seven-play drive for the winning score.

The loss spoiled an exceptional night for Redwood Valley receiver Eric Ellingworth, who caught nine passes for 205 yards and a touchdowns, and Prodoehl, who completed 15 of 30 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns.
