GLENWOOD -- The Thunder Hawks stayed undefeated Friday as they beat Minnewaska 28-14 in a West Central North conference game.

Montevideo quarterback Brett Bergeson passed for 150 yards and all four touchdowns to keep the ThunderHawks in first place in the conference.

Colton Vien had five receptions for 54 yards and two touchdowns for Montevideo. Joe Bednar and Kyle TeBeest had a touchdown each.

Minnewaska kept pace early and the game was tied at 14 at the half, but Montevideo scored a touchdown in the third and fourth quarters to pull away with the win.

The Lakers' Jeff Pooler started the scoring with a 60-yard reception from Andrew Ostrander.

Blake Johnsrud also had a touchdown on a 2-yard run for Minnewaska.

Sam Long led the Lakers in rushing with 55 yards on 12 attempts. Jake Amundsen had four catches for 57 yards.

Jake Douglas rushed for 108 yards on 23 attempts.

Jordan Anderson, the Sleepy Eye St. Mary's quarterback slipped away on a 68 yards scoring run to tied the game 28-28 with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Anderson followed up with the conversion pass to Adam Selner to break the tie.

The Mustangs had gone up in the third quarter on a 3-yard run by Josh Mellies and a 28-yard interception return by Mason Clark.
