OLIVIA -- BOLD rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and went on to beat Paynesville 5-3 in a West Central South Conference softball game on Monday.


Christy Gass earned the win for BOLD, pitching a four-hitter. She also struck out five and held off Paynesville's comeback attempt in the top of the seventh inning.

Hillary Mages and Brittany Dahlk combined for four hits and three RBI for BOLD. One of Mages' hits was a double.

Whitney Woehler took the loss for Paynesville despite striking out 10. She gave up seven hits and four earned runs.

Keely Meagher and Kenzie Meagher both hit doubles for the Bulldogs.

Jazmin Petersen fanned 12 Thunder Hawks on the way to a seven-hitter at Montevideo.

Montevideo (9-5, 7-10) led after two when Jenna Anderson singled and rushed home on a double by Becca Pauling.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City sprang in front 6-1 with a four-run fifth, highlighted by Nicole Clark's two-run single. Paige Wilner and Bethany Nelson each went 2-for-4 for the Falcons (6-8, 7-9).

Shelby Monahan walked one and fanned seven in a losing effort. Three of the ACGC runs were unearned. Jaci Clauson tripled in the third with two out but was stranded. Kayla Berget had two hits.

Cassie Jacobs belted a solo home run among 17 Laker hits and Laura Paulson and Alicia Pfeninger combined on a four-hitter.

Paulson worked the first six innings and was touched for four hits and one run, while walking none and striking out eight. Pfeninger allowed one walk in her inning of work.

Paulson, Pfeninger and Jordan Stalker had three hits each for Minnewaska (13-1, 17-1). Jacobs homered in the sixth inning.

Livi Jeseritz had a double and an RBI for YME (4-10, 8-10).

Kelsey Amundson went the distance for the win, giving up four runs on six hits. She struck out seven and walked six.
