OLIVIA -- Brenna Holwerda's walk-off double drove in a pair of runs and BOLD nipped Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 3-2 in West Central South softball on Tuesday.

The clutch hit gave Christy Gass the win. She threw a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

With the bases loaded, Holwerda's hit plated Jasmine Ervin, who had singled, with the tying run. Laura Padrnos, who had reached on a fielder's choice, scored the game-ending run.

Brittany Dahlk singled and doubled for BOLD (1-1, 1-1).

Mary Larson and Kayla Dallmann supplied run-scoring hits for ACGC (0-1, 0-1).

Alicia Pfeninger's two-run double in the first inning gave the Lakers (1-1, 1-1) a 3-2 lead as Minnewaska scored six runs.

She also picked up the win, pitching five innings and giving up two runs on seven hits. She struck out six and walked one.

Dani Schultz went 2-for-5 with two doubles to lead the Tigers (0-1, 0-1).

Coming off a no-hitter a day earlier, Whitney Woehler pitched a three-hit shutout for Paynesville, striking out seven and walking three.

Three singles and a pair of errors helped Paynesville plate four runs in the third inning.

Jessica Klein had a pair of doubles and drove in a run for the Bulldogs (2-0, 3-0).

Kayla Berget had two hits for Montevideo (0-1, 0-1)

Mallory Jensen hit a two-run triple in the third, and Taylor Semler and Julia Ahrndt combined for a three-hit shutout to lead Benson/Hancock (1-0, 1-0).

Semler got the win, throwing the first five innings. She allowed one hit, struck out 10 and walked one. Ahrndt gave up two hits and struck out three in two innings.

Ellissa Schmidt went 2-for-3 to lead the Eagles (1-1, 1-1).
