MORRIS -- Mackenzie Weatherly limited Montevideo to two hits and struck out 11 as Morris upended the Thunder Hawks 11-1 Monday in a West Central South Conference softball game.

Beth Holland broke open a 2-1 game with a fourth-inning double that scored two runs for the Tigers (2-1, 2-1).

Caroline Fritz later invoked the 10-run rule when her single up the middle with two out brought in a run in the sixth.

Haley Henrichs had RBI singles in the first and fourth and a fielder's choice in the sixth that drove in another run. Hannah Sayles knocked in three more runs for the Tigers.

Both of Montevideo's hits were singles -- Shelby Monahan in the third and Chelsea Larson in the fourth -- and Becca Pauling scored its only run in the third on a Morris error.

Benson/Hancock collected 13 hits, including four doubles, in a five-inning win.

Julia Ahrndt, Megan Jepma, Datrianna Jensen and Brennan Hagen all had two hits. Ahrndt and Mallory Jensen drove in two runs apiece.

Winning pitcher Taylor Semler tossed a two-hitter with one walk and seven strikeouts.

The Bulldogs scored 12 runs in the third inning, helped by two-run singles from McKenzie Quade and Kenzie Meagher.

Jenn Paul tripled three times and scored three runs. Quade drove in four runs and Jessica Solum had three RBI.

Whitney Woehler pitched the first three innings and gave up three hits and struck out three. Jackie Skoglund allowed a hit and struck three in the last two innings.
