MORRIS -- Steph Hennen went 3-for-3 and Brooke Wente drove in a pair of runs as Morris/Chokio-Alberta rocked Benson/Hancock 10-1 on Thursday.

McKenzie Van Batavia went 6 innings for the win. She was touched up for 8 hits but walked only 1 and fanned 9. The Morris/CA defense played flawlessly.

McKenzie Jensen, Kendra Schmidgall and Alissa Hughes each got a pair of hits for the Brave-Owls.

The Eagles' bats came alive too late to catch the Thunder Hawks, who built an 8-0 lead in the top of six.

Lac qui Parle Valley scored five in the bottom of the sixth and then both teams posted a deuce in the seventh.

Kiersti Grey took a shutout into the sixth but the Eagles' hard swings produced a pair of triples and three doubles over their last two at bats.

Grey survived to pitch a complete game withstanding 14 hits.

Tianna Tosel went 4-for-4 with a triple and McKenzie Clark 2-for-2 with a triple for the Eagles.

Paige Jorgenson had three hits and Ashley Hoehne and Kelsey Engler two apiece for the Hawks.

Mikaela DuFrane took the loss.

Erica Melbie drove in five runs with a pair of two-run singles and a ground out as the Falcons came from three runs down to beat the Sting at Grove City.

Yellow Medicine East led 5-2 after three at bats thanks largely to a three-run homer by Courtney Hinz.

ACGC fought back with four in the bottom of the third and five more in the fourth.

Winning pitcher Sydney Larson singled and tripled and Paige Wilner knocked 3 runs with her two hits. Natasha Dallmann also tripled for ACGC.

Eight different players had hits for the Sting.
