NEW LONDON -- Jessica Rosendahl struck out seven in a complete-game win as New London-Spicer topped Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 5-1 in West Central North Conference softball on Tuesday.

Tied 1-1, the Wildcats took the lead for good on a run-scoring single by Jenna Moritz and an RBI double by Allison Ruter.

NLS padded its lead to 4-1 on a run-scoring single by Taylor Thompsen in the fourth.

The Wildcats (2-2, 2-2) added an unearned run in the sixth.

Thompsen finished 3-for-4. Ruter went 2-for-3 with two doubles and Moritz went 2-for-3 with a double.

Rosendahl allowed six hits and three walks.

Katie Wessel was 3-for-3 for LPGE (0-4, 0-5).

Kendra Lindblad struck out six and held the Panthers to four hits in picking up the win.

The Wolverines erased a 4-1 deficit in the fifth with four runs. Hailey Goeman connected on a double to left-center field with the bases loaded to tie the game, then MACCRAY scored the go-ahead run on a groundout to the pitcher.

Paige Ammermann led MACCRAY with two hits. Caylee Hagemeyer and Abbey Thissen each had an RBI. Moranda Zimmer went the distance, giving up 10 hits and striking out one.

Briana Baker went 3-for-3 with two RBI for the Fighting Saints.

Glencoe-Silver Lake's Jackie Stifter led off the game with a home run. Jordan Jungclaus allowed just three hits, struck out seven and walked three.
