Prep softball roundup: Cardinals fall to Rocori
WILLMAR -- Rocori scored a first-inning run and Spartans pitcher Jill Rothstein made it stand, two-hitting Willmar in a 1-0 Central Lakes Conference win at Willmar High School on Thursday.
Rothstein allowed six hits and two walks while striking out nine.
Willmar's Leah Ruter was the hard-luck loser, scattering seven hits and the Spartans' run was unearned.
In the Rocori first, Tyler Schramel was hit by a pitch, then advanced and scored the game's lone run on passed balls.

Lindsey Atchison, Casey Marcus, Anissa Tallakson, Kassie Boller and Ruter all had hits for Willmar.
