Prep Tennis: BKMS ends 18-year drought against Litch

BENSON -- The Benson/KMS tennis team beat Litchfield 5-2 on Friday to run their record to 9-0.

"It's the first time we've beaten Litchfield since 1991," said head coach Jonas Grossman.

The Braves' Ben Murphy tipped Mark Hukriede 7-5, 6-2 at 1-singles. At 2-singles, Steven James needed three set to squeeze by Dominic Devine 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Matt Hagestuen won a 3-siungles and Braves also got points at 2-doubles and 3-doubles.

The Litchfield points came from Nate Adams at 4-singles and Aaron Carlson-Zach Fredman at 1-doubles.
