GRANITE FALLS -- Yellow Medicine East came close but had its season end Monday with a loss in the Section 3A play-in match 4-3 to Pipestone.

The Sting split the singles matches, getting wins from No. 3 Leah Gluth and No. 4 Anna Posch.

YME's No. 1 Jenna Rasmusson fell to Chelsey Carstensen and No. 2 Rachel Christensen lost to Tiffany Woelber.

YME's lone doubles win came from No. 3 Jordan Glad and Allie Trudel.

GLENWOOD -- New London-Spicer had champions at 1 and 2 singles and 2-doubles on Saturday at the West Central North Conference Tournament hosted by Minnewaska High School.

Amanda Radel at 1-singles, Lisa Dobbelaere at 2-singles and Abby Nelson/Wally Gustafson each went 2-0.

Minnewaska results were not reported.
