Prep Tennis: Tech sinks Willmar, 6-1

WILLMAR -- The Willmar boys tennis team suffered its first defeat of the season to St. Cloud Tech 6-1 Tuesday in a Central Lakes Conference dual.

The loss was not unexpected to Cardinals' coach Loren Holter.

"Tech has most of their team back from last year," he said. "I think the encouraging thing was our second and third doubles were competitive."

The 2-doubles team of Matt Horning-Aaron Sagedahl picked up Willmar's lone point with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory. Landon Peterson-Mark Dunham at 3-doubles came close to a second point, but lost 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
