Prep Tennis: Willmar opens with win in Section 2AA

NEW PRAGUE -- The Willmar tennis team won its opening dual of the Section 2AA tournament Tuesday.

The Cardinals, seeded No. 5, will take on No. 1 Hutchinson Thursday at Hutchinson.

The 2-doubles team of Shane Christensen and Marty Larson sealed Willmar's win with a 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) win.

The Cardinals could have had a 5-2 win, but Jimmy Unger at 3-singles lost a difficult three-setter 6-7 (4-7), 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).
