Prep volleyball: Bluejays top Wildcats

PRINSBURG -- Sophomore middle hitter Alexis Scott had 13 put-a-ways at the dividing line and Central Minnesota Christian trumped New London-Spicer attacks 25-22, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-20 in non-conference volleyball on Monday at the CMCS gym.

Christine Mikelson was the set-up person with 28 assists. She also found Kari Blom and Kristin Slagter for 7 kills each and Mary Covert for 4 more.

Blom also led the back line defense with 18 digs.

The Wildcats' front-line offense was concentrated in the outside hitting of Sydney Stone (14 kills) and Taylor Thunstedt (13 kills). Jess Johnson distributed 27 assists while Hannah Stehn made 17 digs and Thunstedt 12 more.

The Bluejays improved to 5-0.
