MANKATO — The No. 2-seed BOLD Warriors dispatched No. 1 Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart 25-15, 25-17, 25-21 to win Section 2A-North on Thursday.

Baylie Kubesh’s 14 kills led the Warriors (19-8).

Mallarie Steffel picked up 10 kills and 26 digs, and Paige Larsen added 2 ace serves and 23 digs.

The Warriors will face Martin County West for the 2A title on Saturday at St. Peter.

A strong season for Central Minnesota Christian ended quietly with a loss to Minneota, the top-ranked team in Class A.

The Bluejays finish their season 27-7, with three of their seven losses coming to the Vikings.
