PAYNESVILLE — Baylie Kubesh unleashed 16 kills in 34 hits to lead the unbeaten BOLD Warriors to a 25-23, 25-18, 25-18 win over Paynesville Tuesday in a West Central Conference match.

The Warriors (5-0) have today to tune up to face another unbeaten when Sauk Centre (7-0) invades the Olivia gym on Thursday evening.

Carly Sigurdson played a fine all-around match with 16 of 17 and with 1 ace, 3 kills and 22 digs. Ashley Schmitz had 14 helpers and Mallarie Steffel had 13 digs.

Benson ripped 17 ace serves and five players combined for 28 kills in a three-game sweep of Yellow Medicine East on Tuesday in Benson.

Shyanne Himley and Krista Motzko both had 5 ace serves and Taylor Laumeyer had 4.

Motzko led the Braves with 8 kills while Laumeyer had 7, Himley, Cyra Carlson and Bethany Erhardt all had 5, and Hanna Lindblad had 3. Lindblad also had 24 set assists, an ace serve and the Braves’ lone solo block. Shaleah Schmidt served two aces for Benson.
