It was the third straight win and the Cardinals' fourth in their last five matches after they opened the season 0-3. Willmar now stands 4-1 in the conference.

Emily Minnick had 12 kills and Katie Lippert punched down another 11 to pace the Cardinals' offensive attack. Riley Grussing directed the offense by chalking up 30 assists.

"We started off a little slow, but once we improved our passing we started to take control," said Willmar coach Terrin DeBoer.

Minnick also led the team with four ace blocks while Lippert and Hailey Vreeman each had three. Casey Marcus had another solid defensive output and paced the Cardinals with 26 digs.

Willmar hosts CLC co-leader Fergus Falls on Thursday in what the Cardinals are calling "White Out Night." Fans are encouraged to wear white apparel in order to clash with the Otters' dark road uniforms.
