ANOKA — No. 8 (AAA) Willmar lost big to No. 7 Anoka 41-18 then rocked Little Falls 54-17 in a strong field at the Tornado Duals that included No. 1 Apple Valley, No. 3 Prior Lake and No. 4 Hastings.

“We wrestled flat against a tough Anoka team,” commented coach Ed Oehlers, adding that the team took comfort knowing it can wrestle better, if focused, and on watching the Tornadoes wrestled well while losing to Apple Valley.

Colten Carlson, No. 1 at 160, tipped Anoka’s Matt Njos (No. 3 at 170 pounds) in a near stalemate 2-1.

 Besides Carlson, double winners were Austin Miley, Estevan Navarro, Vaughn Johnson and Leon Richards (2 pins 2:43 total time).
