Prep wrestling: Section team tournaments start today

The prep wrestling playoffs get underway today in the area.
The section team tournaments kicks off with 10 area teams in action with four competiting on their own mats.
In Section 3AA South, top-seeded Dawson-Boyd/Lac qui Parle Valley will be hosting four matches in Dawson. In 6 p.m. matches, No. 4 Morris Area/Hancock/Chokio-Alberta meets No. 5 Montevideo and No. 3 Quad County takes on No. 6 Redwood Valley/Cedar Mountain. DB/LQPV will then meet the MAHACA-Montevideo winner at 7:30 p.m. while No. 2 Marshall/Lakeview will meet the Quad County-RV/CM winner at the same time.
In 6AA, No. 6 Litchfield meets No. 11 Albany in Becker at 6 p.m. with the winner getting a date with No. 3 Becker at 7:30 p.m. Also, No. 2 New London-Spicer wrestles at 7:30 p.m. in New London against either No. 7 Princeton or No. 10 Sauk Centre/Melrose.
Grove City will be site to a couple of matches in the 5A tourney, starting at 6 p.m. with No. 8 Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted going up against No. 9 Minnewaska. The winner will then take on No. 1 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7:30 p.m. Also in 5A, No. 3 Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa hosts No. 6 at 7 p.m. and No. 5 Osakis is at No. 4 Paynesville, also at 7 p.m.
