Prep wrestling: Willmar draws No. 1 - again

The Willmar wrestling team drew a matchup with the No. 1 seeded team in the Class AAA state tournament for the second straight year.
The unseeded Section 6AAA champion Cardinals will face St. Michael-Albertville at 9 a.m. Feb. 28 in the quarterfinals at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Last year, Willmar met Apple Valley, also the top seed, in the first round. The Eagles went on to capture the title.
STMA (30-1) is ranked No. 1 AAA in the Guillotine's final poll.
Centennial of Circle Pines and Owatonna are in the opposite side of the lower bracket.
In Class A, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City was seeded No. 3, and will face unseeded Sibley East at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Xcel Center.
Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg received the No. 4 seed, and will face No. 5 Chatfield at 11 a.m. Feb. 28.
