WILLMAR — Jesus Cisneros Trevino, 63, of Willmar, was sentenced Monday to 12 years in prison, which was stayed, a 10-year conditional release period, 30 years of probation, 270 days in the county jail and a $250 fine on a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge for sexual contact with two young girls.

As part of his sentence handed down by District Judge Kathryn N. Smith in Kandiyohi County District Court, Trevino was also ordered to have no contact with the victims or children under age 18, ordered to submit to a psychological-sexual evaluation — if he is not deported — and ordered to register as a predatory offender.

The stayed prison term and local jail time were part of a plea agreement reached earlier in the case. Also included in the plea agreement was the condition that Trevino must comply with all laws, including federal immigration regulations.

The first-degree charge, along with another second-degree count for criminal sexual conduct, was filed after Willmar police began investigating a sexual assault case in January that involved two girls, ages 11 and 16. The younger girl told investigators that Trevino had sexual contact with her between 20 and 30 times, with the abuse ending in late summer of 2011. The girl said the contact, involving sexual touching and indecent exposure, happened at an apartment in Willmar.

The girl reported that she had told the older girl about the sexual assaults.

The older girl said she believed the younger’s account because Trevino had done similar things to her, when she was in the same age range, at another residence in Willmar.
