ProAg 'Let's Talk Water' panel slated Feb. 21
OLIVIA -- Virtually nothing in agriculture stirs up interest like a single word: Water. The urgency, interest and politics of water are generating concerns everywhere, and water keynotes the agenda at the Feb. 21 annual meeting of ProAg of Renville County, Max's Grill, Olivia.
ProAg has invited a have a panel of five people, each a specialist in their respective areas, sharing their perspectives. This is followed by a question-and-answer discussion with panel members addressing questions from the audience.
The panel includes Warren Formo, Minnesota Agricultural Water Resources Coalition; Tom Baker, Prinsco Tile; Tom Butler, Freeborn County Conservation Farmer; Garry Bennett, hydrologist with the state Department of Natural Resources; and Larry Zupke, Renville County Ditch/Drainage Inspector.
This meeting is open to the general public with a 6 p.m. social and meal at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 which includes a three-meat dinner choice. There is no charge for ProAg members. Non-members can pay at the door.
